2002-05-04 - 1:55 p.m. Yesterday was Rutgers Fest. People came from all over Jersey. It's a free concert I suppose, but it was just ridiculous! Around 4 pm, Pat and I went to his apartment coz they were having a party. It started around 2:30p so everyone was pretty much hammered by the time we got there. We walked up the stairs and one girl was sprawled on the floor looking very silly indeed. We enter his apartment and the place was packed, half of the people there I've never even seen in my life. But it was nice seeing a bunch of guys and gals who were from our freshan dorm. I swear, freshman year was wild with them. It was fun, I guess. There was a keg of beer, and a big ice block for shots. This one crazy dude, John soaked this girl with a water gun. Since they were all pretty much drunk, I don't think the girl even realized what was going on. She probably thought she was at the beach or something. Mind you, all this drunkenness was going on at 4 in the afternoon. BROAD DAYLIGHT. I thought it was a funny sight to see. I didn't drink though coz at that point, I haven't had anything to eat all day so I opted not to. See, I told you I matured the past couple of years. HA! So we stayed there for a bit, tolerating the ever so sticky floor (blechh). Eventually they ran out of beer, so everyone vanished and moved to one of the kid's apartment where they're having a party too. Pat and I didn't go anymore coz I was really hungry and needed to eat. So then we did. We went to the Student Center to get some Wendy's, oh yes, some good fatty stuff! After eating, I went to the restroom to retouch my lipstick and there was 1 out of 3 stalls there that was functioning. You know why? Because the other 2 were occupied by shoeless, wasted girls who were either throwing up or dry-heaving. Poor girls, I thought. But hey, they shouldn't have drunk more than what they could handle. It leads to awful awful stuff! Hmm, they're probably freshies.. After eating, we finally went to check out the carnival and the concert. Ok, but there was no carnival there. There were supposed to be bumper cars and all that crap, but NADA. All they had were food stands. I dunno, maybe we came too late but heck, that's what I was looking forward to coz I wanna be 6 again. haha. Oh but they had some funnel cakes though. Good stuff! I wanted some but thought it wasn't worth it since the line was half a mile long. Oh by the way, while we were walking, there was a fight going on between a group of black and white males. I don't really know how it started it was pretty scary. I don't like fights at all. Cops were around the corner, but they didn't even know what was going on. The cops were just like, la-dee-la-dee-la-da. Anyhow, the concert was pretty awesome. I thought Reel Big Fish was anyhow. There were so many people on the grounds, we didn't see any of our friends anymore. It would have been impossible to find them anyway. Pat and I surely stayed a good distance from the front. You know, to avoid those vicious head-kickers. There were so many people shamelessly smoking weed. Pretty gutsy of them coz there were loadsa cops walking around. Whatever floats your boat, I guess. We waited around for Ludacris and heard one song. Afterwards Pat and I just headed back coz it was getting chilly. Besides, Ludacris sounded like just a bunch of people on stage trying to talk all the same time. I'm sorry but I just don't like rap. It just doesn't float my boat. So back at the apartment, from which we could still hear the concert, we just chilled. Pat was busy hunting down the bitch who hit his car. They were supposed to meet yesterday to discuss some things but she stood him up. So he was pretty pissed off about that and wasn't really in too much of a party mood anymore. That's why we didn't go to any of the after parties anymore. It's ok though. I didn't mind at all. So that's it. Rutgers Fest IS always wild like that. It just sucks that after all that fun, we've got finals to deal with. ACK! That's why I'm gonna end this right about now coz I've got to study like mad! Ta ta for now!
