Dinner tonight was absolutely delectable!! Pat cooked ribeye steaks with some rice and mushrooms and it was lovely! It was medium rare, just the way I like it, and the seasoning made it perfect. He is really getting good at cooking steaks. Although, I hardly ever eat beef or pork now, nothing beats having a slab of meat once in a while.
A couple of months ago, December I think it was, I decided that I would stop eating beef and pork altogether on my 21st birthday. That's 1 year and 3 months from now. I wouldn't really become a vegetarian coz that means there's no eating sushi. I would die! My abstinence from meat would be my first step in following Cory Quirino's example. Cory is this beauty and youth exponent from the Philippines who's in her fifties but looks like she's twenty-something, and gorgeous at that. If there's anybody out there whom I should set as my role model, it should be her because of her remarkable discipline and dedication to self-improvement.
God I wish I'd age as gracefully as she is. But hey, that's a looong way down the line. For now, all I know is that I have a year and a bit to indulge myself in a nice piece of steak every now and again.
