2002-05-02 - 2:01 p.m. I love the sound of the rain while it pitter-patters outside of my window as I lay myself to sleep. I love hearing the chirping of the birds as I wake up in the morning. It's as if they're letting the world know that they're awake as well. I love walking back from class and seeing the pigeons and other birds runnning about, making me treasure the friendliness of nature. I love biting into my warm and chewy chocolate chip cookie, dipped in milk, and savoring its sweetness in my mouth. I love how it smells outside when the rain has ceased, for the ground seems to have been cleansed from its impurities and the plants rejoice as their thirst is quenched. I love the comfort from my boyfriend's touch when he holds my face, seemingly saying 'i love you' yet not uttering a thing. I love how silence can sometimes be more reassuring than words that are spoken. Hence I thank the Creator for giving me my senses, with which I can appreciate all that is beautiful and cherish all that I love.
