What an awesome lounging-around-lazy day it has been!! My sister, John (her bf), and I went food shopping yesterday. We were supposed to do a list of chores, but we ended up doing only two of them because it took us forever to get ready and leave. Anyway, we went to Starbucks, each got a brownie frap, venti size. It's amazingly good, and it's free on top of that. When we got home around 11:30 pm, we sat around until we ate dinner at 1 am. We had some turkey which they had been cooking all day. It kinda reminded me of Thanksgiving.
Anyway, today I cooked breakfast for my sis - poached eggs topped with hollandaise sauce, some bacon, and pancakes. Lovely! Other than that, my day was spent watching TV. What a great way to spend spring break -- do absolutely nothing!
Oh my. Is it really Easter already this coming Sunday? That's what my sis said but it can't be, can it? I mean Jesus was JUST born. It can't be time for him to die and rise again! I'm so out of the loop. I haven't really heard mass the past few weeks.
I was just thinking the other night that my faith is put to test by all of my {family} problems. I know it's not right. I was always taught that during a crisis, one should always turn to God. However, I was also taught that God doesn't give people problems that they can't handle. If so, then how come there are people who commit suicide? And if so, God must think that I'm bionic woman.
I know it isn't good to question my faith. Funny that, inspite of 12 years of instruction from Catholic schools, I still have questions and doubts. I wonder why.
