2002-04-19 - 3:32 a.m. Pat and I went to Blockbuster and got Spy Game on dvd. I actually went to see it when it was out in the theaters with my dad but I just dozed off. Not that the movie's bad, I was just tired at the time. I know what you're thinking -- it was indeed an expensive nap. Anywhow, it's a pretty exciting movie. Brad Pitt's to die for as usual, and Robert Redford, ehh.. WAS handsome as well -- in GREAT GATSBY. Haha. I also rented Bread and Tulips, an Italian film. It's a treat for myself. I can't wait to watch it. Pat wouldn't be interested to accompany me coz he doesn't like subtitles. I just have a love affair going with foreign flicks, you know. I swear, the moment I see one on the racks of Blockbuster, I grab it, read the brief synopsis, and almost always end up getting it. Hmm, now that could be an interesting genre for a dvd collection, no? Not bad. I bought 'The Last Castle' on dvd as well. I got it only because James Gandolfini (from The Sopranos) is in it. We're from the same alma mater, by the way. And so is Calista Flockhart, but that's completely on a tangent right there. Sorry So I figure, my bills are all paid, the last time I bought something for myself was my phone way back in January, I actually have some food, AND I got some spare moolah. So why not get just one little dvd, right? Jeez. Don't I sound pathetic? It's so obvious that I'm just making myself feel better about spending fifteen bucks. Damn guilt. I really wish I could spend my hard-earned money on the things I WANT without feeling insecure and not on bills that resulted from my parents. I just can't help but envy the kids my age who are so free to spend their money on whatever they please. I should stop moaning. These are the cards that I've been dealt, and I should just play them wisely. That's right. So deal with it. Agree? Agree.
