Insomniac -- very fittingly ME.

Staying up all night has become such a normal thing for me now. I guess it comes handy when I've got exams to cram for. At least I don't have to worry about dozing off. It's just really annoying now, when I'd LOVE to get some sleep but couldn't even if I tried.

Last night I stayed til 5 this morning for no particular reason. It's really bad because I had to get up at 7a for a job interview scheduled for 9 o' clock.

I don't know how I did it, but I managed to get my arse out of the bed. In fact, I was coherent despite only having two pathetic hours of sleep. Oh, and I got ready pretty quickly too, so I was making good time.

Even then, I just wish my sleeping pattern would go back to normal soon.

Anyway, my interview was very disappointing. And it's not because I did poorly. It was because it did NOT even take place.

As I mentioned, I was making good time. The venue was really far, about 45-50 miles south of my sister's house. Pat and I were in the vicinity by around 8:40a since traffic was really cooperative.

Guess what? We got lost. I ended up arriving 5 minutes late. The recruiter informed me that I had to reschedule.

Five freakin' minutes!!
Damn-dee-damn-damn!

I told her that I came from all the way up north, and asked if she could please make an exception. I traveled 1/3 of the whole length of Jersey, for chris'sakes! Besides, it was their fault I got lost anyway because the street name that they gave me in their directions was freakin' obsolete!

But no can do.

Isn't that just cruel? Damn those big corporate companies.

As far as my employment status for this summer is concerned, I still haven't resigned from my current job, so I guess I still have that if all else fails. Other than that, I'm really hoping to get this Computer Science related internship for which I got interviewed yesterday. It's paid too. But you know what, I won't count my chickens before they hatch so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for now.

Fingers crossed, hands clasped, eyes closed, and fervently praying to God that I get it PLEASE.

Get the picture?

Anyhow, after realizing that I couldn't persuade the recruiter to make an exception, I figured that Pat and I still had the rest of the day to enjoy. After all, it was barely 10am. So we had breakfast at Perkin's. I had pigs in a blanket, and he had 'Tremendous Twelve', a big plate of eggs, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. It's so good that Ihop honestly can't compare. There's no Perkins in Northern Jersey, so we seized the opportunity to eat there.

If I had known that I was gonna end up having to reschedule the interview anyway, I would have loved to stay in bed instead. But breakfast made the trip down there ALMOST worth it.

Oh and just a little note to that particular company:

RESCHEDULE MY BUM!
